We like to do our best to be sure that your needs are met and your appointment is as comfortable as possible.  Please let us know if you have any questions about your session.  To make sure we are able to met everyone's needs the best we can we have the following policies:

Reservations and Cancellation Policy

We strive to provide a personalized, positive experience to all clients.  When scheduling your appointment with us, you are agreeing to our spa policies.  All services require prepayment to guarantee a reservation so please have your credit card and or gift certificate ready when booking. When you book your appointment, a deposit of 50% (fifty) of the total service(s) scheduled is required to hold your appointment.  The deposit will be placed on your account and will go towards the balance due for your services(s). Should you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, we ask that you cancel or reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance so that our staff may have the opportunity to reschedule another client.  Appointments(s) canceled or rescheduled that occur on the day of your appointment (or less than 24 hours to your appointment) are subject to a cancellation fee equal to the deposit of 50% (fifty) of the total service(s) paid when scheduled. Clients who have a Series on account can use the series to secure their appointment.  Should you need to cancel or reschedule on the day of your appointment (or less than 24 hours to your appointment) you will be expected to pay the 50% (fifty) of the total service(s) scheduled at the time of cancellation/reschedule or one of the services in your series will be forfeited. Clients who have Gift Certificate(s) can use the Gift Certificate to secure their appointment.  The number must be given at time of scheduling in order to hold your appointment.  Should you need to cancel or reschedule on the same day of your appointment (or less than 24 hours to your appointment) you will have the option to pay the 50% of the total service(s) scheduled or have the 50% deducted from the gift certificate.


No Show Policy

Clients who miss their appointments without giving any prior notification will be charged in full for the scheduled service.  We recognize the time of our clients and therapists is valuable and have implemented this policy for this reason.  When you miss an appointment with us, we not only lose your business, but also the potential business of other clients who could have scheduled an appointment for the same time.  We are obligated to compensate our therapist for their time as well as make up for the lost revenue.  We thank you for your cooperation in this policy as it allows us to retain great therapists.


Check-In and Late Arrival Policy
We ask that you please arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment time.  Due to the increased time needed to clean and properly sanitize the rooms for the next client we unfortunately cannot adjust your scheduled appointment time to allow for extended time due to late arrival.  To avoid being deprived of treatment time, please arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your appointment.  Full price of scheduled services will apply, so please plan accordingly.  


Inclement Weather Policy
​We understand that weather conditions can make it difficult to keep scheduled appointments.  If an appointment is cancelled by the client for inclement weather, no fee will be charges to the client as long as the appointment is rescheduled for a future date.  Inclement weather must meet the National Weather Service definition of "Dangerous Weather".  To qualify for having the fee waived, The National Weather Service should have issued a Major Storm Warning either during the day of the appointment, or in advance of an expected appointment (ex. Winter Storm Warning).  You can check warnings at http://www.weather.gov/.

Life's Retreat Massage and Spa reserves the right to cancel an appointment in the case of inclement weather if it jeopardizes the safety of our therapists.


Other Policies
Prior to the first appointment, a copy of our policies and intake forms will need to be completed. Clients will be asked to read, understand, and comply with all professional policies, procedures, terms, and conditions. These forms must be signed as well as consent for treatment.

Please leave all jewelry and valuable items at home or keep them with you at all times.  Life’s Retreat Massage and Spa is not responsible for lost or misplaced items.

At each appointment clients are responsible for updating the spa and therapist of any new changes in their health that the therapist should be aware of.  A new follow-up intake form to inform service technician of any changes should be completed for major changes such as surgery, new diagnosis or new allergy.

Expiration Policy for Gift Certificates/Series/Special Packages
All gift certificates sold are valued at the purchase price. Gift certificates sold at full price never expire. However, they are subject to an additional charge if prices have changed or a service is no longer available. Gift Certificates should be redeemed by expiration date.  Special discounts will be void upon expiration.  Any gift certificates presented after the expiration date will be redeemed for the cash value on the card only.  All gift certificates sold at a discount rate or massages sold in a series are good for one year from the date of purchase unless specified in promotion.  Series after the one year expiration will default to full price.  Any additional payment for services will be the responsibility of the client. 


All gift certificates that are given out for a promotion do expire. Promotions include, but are not limited to, auctions, races, and raffles. Please check the expiration date and use them within that time.

Gift Certificates must be presented at time of service.  All remaining balances must remain on your certificate; no cash value; cannot be redeemed for cash. Life's Retreat Massage and spa is not responsible for certificates that are lost, stolen, damaged or used without authorization. All sales are final; Gift Certificates cannot be exchanged or refunded for any reason. If need further clarification please refer to the policy form included with your gift certificate when purchased. A copy can be obtained at the spa.


Payment

We accept cash, local checks, Visa, MasterCard and Discover Card as well as gift certificates issued by Life’s Retreat Massage and Spa. We are also a member of the Elk River Chamber of Commerce and accept gift certificates issue from the Chamber.

GratuitiesTips are never expected, but always appreciated.  It is always nice to receive the compliment of a “thank for a good service” gratuity.  For your convenience tips may be added to your check and credit card total at check-out.
